In this ambitious renovation of a nineteenth-century three-family home, we carefully restored many of the original architectural features, while completely updating the layout and modernizing the space. The materials used are both modern and warm—metal, glass, oak and maple—creating a clean, inviting palette.

Since the home has a unique hilltop location, we used large window panels to dissolve the line between indoors and out, and vaulted the ceiling for additional space and airiness. And, of course, we maximized energy efficiency with high-performance additions such as triple-pane windows and heat pumps.
